Today Watched “Bhavesh Joshi Superhero”, Here’s My Thoughts About The Film

Since the poster release of film “Bhavesh Joshi Superhero” on social media, I’ve decided that I would surely watch this film. This is because of few major reasons. Firstly, it is been directed by one of my most favorite director of all time – VIKRAMADITYA MOTWANE. Secondly, as per it’s first look and teaser video the film seems to be interesting and appealing (at least for me). Also, Harshvardhan Kapoor is the main lead in this film, therefore, It was quite intriguing to see him act in my favorite director’s film.

At the time of watching the film, I can easily relate myself in the place of Sikandar Khanna aka Sikku (played by Harshvardhan). Yes, we all at some point believe and thought of changing our corrupt and lukewarm system. And few of us even do something useful about it (like making a INSAAF platform in the film). However, it all turns out to be a temporary motivation. At the end of day, most will want to have a peaceful normal life along with good health.

In “Bhavesh Joshi Superhero” too, Sikku firstly actively participate in making videos for INSAAF with his friend (Bhavesh Joshi). But for various reasons, especially his personal reasons and convenience he decided to leave the team and move on with his normal life. He started believing that fighting against such big corrupt system with a few bunch of people is a matter of stupidity and harmfulness. But it took sometime to realize that HE IS WRONG.

After his best friend (Bhavesh Joshi) gets killed by one of the powerful corrupt politician. He decided to fight against this corrupt system and the people behind his friend’s death all alone.

Bhavesh Joshi Superhero” is a realistic vigilante thriller, which uniquely relates to every youngster who is willing to stand and fight against a corrupt and stinking system and finally reveal the real truth. The film stars Harshvardhan Kapoor, Priyanshu Painyuli and Ashish Verma in lead roles. Vikramaditya Motwane’s take against the corrupt system is worth looking at. The film portraits every single situations, scenarios in a realistic way till the end. And yes, the film also shows us how difficult (or maybe impossible) is for a single man/women to bring “CHANGE” in this stinking system.

Till the climax scene of the film, director has not let the hero of the film to stupidly win against the system. But it only shows how vulnerable and helpless one feels fighting against the wrong doings. I hope that audience continue to shower their love and support for such films in coming times, so that We can help evolve different kinds of cinema in our lovely Bollywood.

Harsh does the job efficiently. Nicely bringing out the homemade superhero aspect of the character.”

Filmfare said,

Harsh grabs the role by both hands, easing into his character by stages and making it believable. He’s earnest in his portrayal, never going over the top in action or subsiding into melodrama in emotional scenes.”

Aseem Chhabra reviews,

“And that’s quite a performance by Harsh Kapoor – comes across as a regular guy in the film, but he such a presence, especially in the second half.”
