USA ARMY EXERCISE IN GERMANY 

According to NATO, US Army were in Germany recently for their exclusive training and exercise. US Army along with their NATO allies & partners together put the exercise in action. The mission supported and carried out as part of US Mission NATO. As per NATO about the joint exercise :

“With joint exercise, Allies improve readiness, sustainability & interoperability of forces, strengthening the Alliance’s ability to meet threats as they arise.”

Apart from that, US Air Force and NATO Allies together arrives in Czech Republic. They carried out a joint exercise and concluded a training exercise ‘Ample Strike’ past week. According to NATO, “We get better, more efficient & more capable to deter aggression and defend our citizens

NATO IN AFGHANISTAN

In August, a CH-47F Chinook helicopter flies above Bagram Airfield (Afghanistan) during a joint Army and Air Force training exercise. Please note that Bagram Airfield (also known as Bagram Air Base) serves as the largest US Military Base in Afghanistan. As the name suggests, the Air Base sits in the ancient city – Bagram. The city located in 25 kilometers north of capital Kabul. Many US leaders have visited this airfield earlier. Few of them were :

  • 44th President of the United Statest – BARACK OBAMA (2012)
  • 43rd President of the U.S – GEORGE W. BUSH (March 1, 2000)

Furthermore, ATACs (Afghan Tactical Air Coordinators) operate with the Afghan Air Force which ensure to call at the time of airstrikes. Apart from that, TAAC-Air advisors also trained it’s new troops. According to NATO, there are eleven NATO allies and partners of TAAC-Air to help and assist the Afghan Air Force in Afghanistan.

?? 40,000 participants, 130 aircraft and 70 vessels from more than 30 nations – this is NATO’s exercise Trident Juncture 18. ________ NATO and #Norway ?? are preparing for one of the largest military exercises ever held in the country. During some hectic weeks this October and November, more than 40,000 participants from all over NATO and its partners will be coming to Norway for exercise Trident Juncture 2018. The exercise will test the whole military chain – from troop training at the tactical level, to command over large forces. Few days ago NATO along with Norway prepares one of the largest military exercises ever held in the country. In the country, Norway for exercise Trident Juncture 2018 will he held in October and November. As per the officials, more than 40,000 participants across NATO and their partners will be joining this event. Additionally, it will have 130 aircraft, 70 vessels from more than 30 nations together. According to NATO :

“The exercise will test the whole military chain – from troop training at the tactical level, to command over large forces. It will train the troops of the NATO Response Force and forces from other allies and partners, ensuring they can work seamlessly together.”

These will be the watch-words as we move forward with our agenda to make gender equality an everyday reality for women and girls everywhere.” – Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller __________ NATO Deputy Secretary General, Rose Gottemoeller visited Baku, #Azerbaijan ?? to meet with senior government officials and to address a major international conference on Women, Peace and Security. The conference, jointly organised by NATO and Azerbaijan is the first since NATO leaders agreed a revised Women, Peace and Security Policy and Action Plan at the Brussels Summit in July 2018. __________ While in Azerbaijan, the Deputy Secretary General met with President Aliyev, Vice President Mrs Aliyeva, Speaker of Parliament Mr. Asadov, Defence Minister Hasanov and other senior officials. She also participated in the closing ceremony of the Jeyranchol NATO/PfP Trust Fund project and awarded certificates to Afghan officials and academics for a course devoted to the civilian oversight of the armed forces in the Afghan context. In a major international conference on Women, Peace and Security – held in Baku (Azerbaijan) NATO Deputy Secretary General, Rose Gottemoeller spoke her thoughts out. Addressing the conference, she inferred :

Visiting the city, she also met with senior government officials of Azerbaijan. It must be noted that the conference is the first joint conference organized by NATO and Azerbaijan together. This conference also discuss about the revised Women, Peace and Security Policy and Action Plan at the Brussels Summit held in July 2018. Furthermore, she also met with President Aliyev, Vice President Mrs Aliyeva, Defence Minister Hasanov and other top diplomat.
