After a huge buzz around the Redmi Note 7 Launch event, Xiaomi finally launches the two new smartphones in India. The Chinese maker Xiaomi, in a event in New Delhi on 28th Feb, launches Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro. The successor of RN 6, Redmi Note 7 price starts at Rs 9,999 while Redmi Note 7 Pro from just Rs 13,999. Also, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Xiaomi launches it’s global debut here in India. However, many of the people out there seems confuses between the two smartphones. Therefore, let’s discuss the major Difference Between Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro.

The new Redmi Note 7, with Snapdragon 660 AIE, dual 13 MP + 2 MP rear cameras, comes in 3/4 GB RAM models. Xiaomi provides the smartphone with 32/64 GB internal storage variants respectively. Additionally, the devices comes in three beautiful glossy colors: Onyx Black, Ruby Red and Sapphire Blue. The pricing of Redmi Note 7 are as follows:

  • 3/32 GB model: Rs 9,999
  • 4/64 GB mode: Rs 11,999

Coming to the biggest surprise from Xiaomi i.e launching Redmi Note 7 Pro in India, the smartphone comes in much better specs and features as compared to all of it’s competitors. As said by the marketing head of Xiaomi Anuj Sharma, this smartphone can literally change the smartphone industry. Having said that, the smartphone comes with out-of-the-box Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 octa-core chipset along with impressive camera performance. We’ll talk about this in detail in the later part of this article. The pricing of the new Redmi Note 7 Pro are as follows:

  • 4/64 GB model: Rs 13,999
  • 6/128 GB model: Rs 16,999

Difference Between Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro: Features & Specs

Starting off from the display, the new RN 7 features 6.3-inch in-cell FHD+ LCD dot notch display. The display screen is also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 technology and has 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Additionally, Xiaomi has provided a shiny, beautiful-looking design called as “gradient finish” which simply makes the device looks premium. Furthermore, both front and back sides of the phone has 2.5 D curved glass body to make it more comfortable to hold.

As mentioned above, the new Redmi Note 7 powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset with 14nm FinFET CPU up to 2.2 GHz speed. Therefore, on that part the new Redmi Note 7 directly competes with the Realme 2 Pro.  Anyways, speaking further the new RN 7 sports a dual 12 MP + 2 MP AI cameras with f/2.2 aperture. Rear camera features include:

  • HDR pictures
  • Panorama mode
  • Low light photography
  • AI beautify 4.0
  • Face recognition
  • Video recording: up to 1080p
  • Slow-mo: up to 1080p at 120 fps

Speaking further on the Difference Between Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro, the RN7 has a 13 MP (f/2.0) selfie camera. The selfie camera features includes; AI portrait mode, AI beautify, Face Recognition, HDR pictures, 12 AI scene detection. As per practical images are concerned, the new Redmi Note 7 should click decent pics. However, we don’t know whether it out perform the previous gen Redmi Note 6 Pro’s camera performance or not…

And lastly, the RN 7 boasts a massive 4,000 mAh battery which also Qualcomm Quick Charge 4.0 technology. Available in three colors: Onyx Black, Sapphire Blue and Ruby Red.

Now let’s talk about the elder brother of RN7 i.e the new Redmi Note 7 Pro.  Xiaomi, at their launch event, made everyone “wow” by launching the latest Redmi Note 7 Pro with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor. The Chinese manufacturer’s “Redmi Note 7 Pro” made it’s official debut here in India at their 28 Feb launch event. And to be honest, that’s pretty nice move by Xiaomi India.
