Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 is Coming Tomorrow, What We Know and Expect From The Launch Event

Xiaomi is all set to launch their upcoming, much-hyped Redmi Note 7 on 28th Feb in a event in New Delhi. First released in their home country China earlier this year, the new Redmi Note 7 receives big word of mouth from the Indian tech community. Everyone, from tech enthusiasts to the top tech community, are waiting to get their hands on the new Redmi Note 7. However, according to the recent leaks and rumors, Xiaomi may have few surprises for us in tomorrow’s launch event. The Chinese maker may have plans to launch Redmi Note 7 Pro as well. Before we dive into our expectation from Xiaomi’s tomorrow launch event, let’s first look at Redmi Note 7.


In the new Redmi Note 7 series, the smartphone features a 6.3-inch full HD+ IPS display with a teardrop notch. The smartphone packs a big 48 MP (f/1.8) PDAF + 5 MP (f/2.4) depth sensor dual rear cameras with dual-LED flash. To the front, the new Redmi Note 7 shows off 13 MP shooter with HDR capability. Also, the smartphone comes in 3/4/6 GB RAM model with 32/64 storage variants. Although, it is unclear as to which storage variant Xiaomi will launch in the 28th Feb Redmi Note 7 launch event.

Furthermore, the new Redmi Note 7 powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor (14 nm). Talking about the connectivity features, the devices has Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi. It has the standard fingerprint sensor, mounted on the rear side of the smartphone. It comes with 4,000 mAh battery capacity with USB Type-C reversible connector with Quick Charge 4.0 support. What’s New ??

This time Xiaomi has given few major improvements in the new Redmi Note 7 as over the previous gen RN 6. Firstly coming to it’s design, the new Redmi Note 7 now comes in all-glass beautiful gradient colors design. The device is now double-sided covered with 2.5 D glass body with very narrow bezels. It comes in three different colors: Blue, Black and Twilight Gold, and now doubt Twilight Gold looks the best out of the three.

Also, along with having a big battery of 4,000 mAh as mentioned above, the Redmi Note 7 also supports Quick Charge 4.0. However, Xiaomi is not expected to bundle the fast charger in the box with the new RN 7. Another new stuff in the RN 7 is the camera. Xiaomi has given a massive 48 MP + 5 MP dual rear cameras in the Redmi Note 7. Reportedly, the smartphone will get a Super Night mode feature to click better low-light pics, via a OTA update.

Yes, that’s right! The Chinese maker may seem to launch the Redmi Note 7 Pro at the “Redmi Note 7 launch event” on 28 Feb. Let’s discuss as to what we know about the smartphone so far:

According to the latest leaks, Xiaomi might also launch Redmi Note 7 Pro alongside Redmi Note 7 in the 28th Feb launch event in India. The latest leaks by Ishan Agarwal suggests that Xiaomi may release the Redmi Note 7 Pro with all the above mentioned specs and features. However, it’s still not confirmed that the leaks comes from official sources or not. Have a look at his tweet below:

As per Agarwal, the Indian variant of Redmi Note 7 missing “48 MP” word under the rear cameras and only shows “AI Camera”. Whereas, the Chinese variant of the RN 7 clearly shows “48 MP AI Camera” under the camera sensor. In Xiaomi’s home country China, Redmi Note 7 Pro will launch this week, as confirmed by Redmi GM Lu Weibing.
